PGG visit to Clumber Park
Enjoy a spring visit to the magnificent gardens at Clumber Park, a jewel in the National Trust. The gardens boast the longest glass house in a Trust garden at 451m, which is set in a fantastic working walled kitchen garden with all of its walls adorned with trained fruit. You will also find National Collections of Malus and Rhubarb, extensive borders and a very fine spring display, and much more besides.
Wonderfully, Dene Wood the Clumber Park Head Gardener and PGG member has kindly offered to guide us through all the many highlights Clumber has to offer, and I’m sure we will have an opportunity to meet some of his team and see a little behind the scenes of this outstanding garden.
There is also much to see across the wider estate: the Chapel of St Mary is a cathedral in miniature, grand restored stables, 83 acres of serpentine lakes, the heritage centre and a hundreds of acres of parkland and lime avenues.
