PGG Visit to David Austin Roses

David Austin Roses have, very kindly, contacted the guild to offer a limited (25) number of members the chance to visit their production facility in Albrighton, Shropshire. The visit will include a tour of the nursery (their breeding department and production facilities) along with information about the environmentally friendly steps they have taken to improve the nursery. There is also a tour of the gardens, including David Austin’s private garden, followed by a buffet lunch and then a networking time with other members. Lastly there will be an informative presentation about roses; their best uses, and their annual maintenance to ensure that all attending leave with the confidence to plant and maintaining a David Austin Rose.

Programme

The day will start around 10am with refreshments until 10:30.
Lunch will be around 12.30pm and the day should finish around 4pm.

The Rose Gardens and Plant Centre are situated together on the Shropshire border in Albrighton. Brown tourist signs will provide directions from Junction 3 of the M54, from Wolverhampton on the A41 or from Shifnal on the A464. The entrance to the Plant Centre is on Old Worcester Road, immediately off Bowling Green Lane.

Cost

£25.00 per person which will include a buffet style lunch.
