Five Gardens in Kerry – Day 2
Dawros Gallery Garden
A four acre contemporary garden set in native woodland next to the Dromoughty River waterfall. Charlotte Verbeek has created the garden over twenty-five years. Naturalistic planting blends seamlessly into the wild areas with extensive use of grasses and perennials.
Lunch: Bring along a picnic to enjoy in the gardens.
Cost of entry is free (€8 per person to charity).
This 60-acre woodland garden was initially developed by the 5th Marquess of Landsdowne from the 1870’s. The garden has a fine collection of rhododendrons. Bamboo, eucalyptus and Dicksonia antarctica abound, amid the many splendid conifer species.
