Hatfield House
Hatfield House is a Jacobean house built 1611, home to Lord and Lady Salisbury and their family. The 42 acre gardens date from the early 17th century, laid out by John Tradescant, include a historic knot garden, parterres, topiary and rare plants.

Knebworth House
Knebworth House is home to the Lytton-Cobbold family, a late gothic manor house remodelled in 1813 and again in 1843. The present 28 acre gardens dates from the Edwardian period, re-designed and simplified by architect Sir Edwin Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll creating ‘garden rooms’ which comprise of a maze, walled kitchen garden and reflective pool.

Programme
- 10.00am. Arrival. Tea/coffee/biscuits (included).
- 10.30am. Meeting starts with tour by Hatfield Head Gardener, Alastair Gunn.
- 12.30pm. Lunch at Hatfield. Self pay (vegetarian options available) or provide own picnic.
- 2.00pm. Depart for Knebworth House.
- 2.30pm. Tour of the Gardens with Knebworth Head Gardener, Kelly Baker.
- 4.00pm. Meeting ends with tea/cake provided. Approx finish time 4.30pm.
