A little history on Houghton Lodge and Gardens…
Overlooking the River Test, Houghton Lodge and Gardens is a unique Hampshire attraction for all the family. Built sometime before 1799 and probably intended as a fishing lodge, Houghton Lodge is one of the earliest examples of a Cottage Orné or Rural Retreat and one of the most beautiful historic houses and gardens in Hampshire.

A little information on Longstock Park Water Garden…
With its varied habitats, the garden provides the ideal environment for cultivating a great diversity of water-loving plants. Aquatics like the water violet, shallow-water marginal plants like flowering rushes, bog plants like primulas – you’ll often find numerous varieties of a single species, as well as some very rare specimens. There are over eighty different types of water lily alone.
