Newby Hall
Newby Hall has 25 acres of gardens laid out in the 1920s, and holds the national collection of Cornus. There is a double herbaceous border, running down to the river Ure, replanted in the last two years and formal seasonal gardens. A miniature railway runs around the edge of the garden for the big kids and adventure gardens for the smaller children.

Littlethorpe Manor
Littlethorpe Manor is one owner’s dream and one Head Gardener’s dream. The 11 acre garden comprises a walled garden based on cycle of seasons, sunken garden with white rose parterre and herbs, colour themed borders, terraces with ornamental pots and much more.

Programme
- 10.00 a.m. – Meet in Newby car park. Tea/coffee and biscuits.
- 10.30 a.m. – Tour of gardens with Head Gardener Mark Jackson.
- 12.30 p.m. – Lunch (included). Buffet style in the cafe.
- 14.00 p.m. – Meet at Littlethorpe Manor. Tour of gardens with Head Gardener Eddie Harland.
- 15.45 p.m. – Tea and cakes (included).
- 16.14 p.m. – Look around the back at machines etc.
Cost
£16.50. per person.
Cost includes entrance, tea/coffee and lunch.

Littlethorpe Manor
Littlethorpe Manor (satnav HG4 3LS). From A168 Boroughbridge to Ripon, at roundabout turn left onto A61.At next roundabout, (Dallamires Lane) turn left to Littlethorpe road. Meet at stable block. Will be sign-posted.
