The 2015 Professional Gardeners’ Guild AGM
The AGM will be held at Floors Castle, Roxburghshire on Saturday 3rd October 2015. Floors Castle is at the heart of the diverse Roxburghe Estates in a beautiful part of the Scottish Borders. Just over an hour’s drive from Edinburgh and Newcastle, this stunning Castle hosts a collection of fine art, porcelain, newly restored tapestries, grand rooms and superb views. In th grounds there are woodland and riverside walks, formal and informal gardens and lots of places to sit and watch the world go by.

- 10.00: Arrival (Tea, coffee & shortbread)
- 10:30 – 12:30: AGM
- 12:30 – 13:30: Lunch
- 13:30 – 15:30: Tour of gardens
- 15:30: Tea, coffee & traybake
The cost for the day will be £20.00 and will include a lunch in the Courtyard Restaurant and the following will be available to choose from.

- Honey Roast Ham with Wholegrain Mustard
- Rare Beef with Horseradish
- Coronation Chicken
- All served with Potato Salad, Mixed Leaves and Country Pickle

Floors Castle is situated in an easily accessible and lovely location. The area around Kelso offers a fascinating mix of busy, historic towns, views of rolling hills and plenty of places to stop and enjoy the countryside.

PGG Scotland VC Susan Russell has arranged some other visits for the AGM weekend –
“I have arranged a visit to Mellerstain with a tour from our member there Gordon Low. The cost is £10.00 per head and includes tea and coffee at the start. This will be on Friday 2nd October and lunch will be in Melrose. More information
On Sunday (4th) in the morning will be a visit to Stella and David Rankin’s garden and nursery at Kevock Garden Plants, Lasswade (just south of Edinburgh). Stella may not be there but there will be someone to take us round”. More information
