Around the country the NHS is facing an unprecedented challenge. There is an urgent need to provide their staff and supporters with suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to provide the level of protection they require.
The horticultural industry as a whole has already donated many boxes of vinyl gloves, aprons and face shields to local NHS hospitals, but there remains a need for further supplies – particularly for polycarbonate visors.
The Professional Gardeners Guild, and other professional gardening, horticultural and conservation organisations are perhaps well placed to respond to this national challenge by donating suitable PPE to the NHS.
Help protect hospital staff from Covid-19
We are therefore asking our PGG Members to help by donating to hospitals local to you, any polycarbonate clear face visors that you may be able to spare.
Thank you and stay safe.
