An exciting opportunity to refresh and take forward a Hampshire garden set in its own parkland with the River Itchen flowing through it.
The formal parts of the garden were designed by Pip Morrison over 20 years ago. The owners feel that there is the potential now to improve further an already attractive garden to take full advantage of its magical setting by the river. The location is often referred to as one of the most beautiful in Hampshire. The owners have recently created a 5-acre flower meadow in adjoining fields, completed a major Green Energy ground source heat pump project in 2024, and are interested to improve bio-diversity. Half the garden is in SSI land.
The role
The new Head Gardener, who will report directly to the owners, will be a trained horticulturist and will work closely with the owners to create an outstanding garden. This is an exciting opportunity for a professionally qualified gardener wishing to establish their reputation.
