The PGG AGM was held this year at Hyde Hall near Chelmsford, Essex.
The stunning location with rolling hills and fantastic panoramic views was explored by the PGG Members during the morning, led by two very knowledgeable RHS gardeners. PGG Chairman Tony Arnold had chosen a particularly sunny day on which to hold the AGM and the morning tour was very relaxing and informative. A delightful lunch was followed by the AGM and presentation of PGG awards.
The Awards
The awards, handed out by PGG Patron Lord Ashcroft, went to John Ellis for Loyal and Outstanding Service, Nigel Hewish for Loyal and Outstanding Service and Becky Cross who received the PGG 3 Year Traineeship in Horticultural Practices ‘Diploma with Distinction’ Award and the award for ‘New Gardener of the Year 2016’.
